Jens Hjerto-Dahl is emerging as a target for a host of continental sides as well as West Ham United ahead of the summer. The Norwegian midfielder could be on the move as per TV2, amid growing interest in his signature following a stellar start to the new season with Tromso.
Tromso could be set for a huge financial windfall in the summer as they anticipate offers coming in for key star Jens Hjerto-Dahl. The midfielder was the subject of interest from Turkish side Besiktas in January, with the Norwegian prodigy rejecting a reported approach as per the story.
The main reason for doing that was the anticipation of big offers from leagues that Hjerto-Dahl feels are suitable for his career. That may include joining a club in Europe or England, amid heavy interest from teams including Hamburger SV, Wolves, and West Ham United.
Jens Hjerto-Dahl is a midfielder by trade, and his start to the new Norwegian season with Tromso shows four goals in two league games so far. This represents exceptional form for a player, which has certainly seen teams showing an interest, while Liverpool were one of those keeping tabs earlier.
West Ham are in the mix for Hjerto-Dahl, and the report stating that Wolves are also keen shows that these are teams planning for the signing, even if relegation could be on the cards. Either of those teams, especially the Hammers, could give the 20-year-old midfield prodigy a good platform to build his career in England, although continental interest could also be considered.
As per the report, Tromso rejected a reported offer of 100 million Kroner back in January, which is slightly under the £8 million mark. The Norwegian outfit are now expected to demand around 150 million Kroner (£11.7 million), which might be within an affordable range for teams including West Ham.
The midfield prospect is seen as a promising prospect for the future, but he might need time to adapt to a new league, particularly if West Ham are able to lure him to England. Either way, the youngster is expected to make his big switch away from Norway and into one of the bigger leagues to take the next steps in his career.
