Adrien Thomasson’s Rennes move set to be officialised

Adrien Thomasson’s (32) move from RC Lens to Stade Rennais is set to be made official, as per a report from Onze Mondial. 

Thomasson will not renew his contract at Lens, despite the club qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League. In what was his final game with Les Sang et Or, the Frenchman lifted the Coupe de France trophy, thanks to a 3-1 win over OGC Nice. He captained his side in that game.

Several clubs showed interest in signing Thomasson, including Paris FC, but it is Rennes, who next season will compete in the UEFA Europa League, who won the race. As per Onze Mondial, an agreement between the Frenchman and the Breton club has been in place for several weeks.

However, with the domestic season now concluded (bar the relegation play-off), the deal can now be made official. Onze Mondial understands that could happen as soon as Tuesday.
